THE ROYAL PARKS SHOWCASE
The Royal Parks is holding its very own ‘Showcase’ again this year, throughout the week (Monday 8th to Thursday 11th July) there will be:
- A Flower Stall – open daily for the public to buy some of our home-grown plants from the Hyde Park Super Nursery (where we grow all the flowers to plant in front of Buckingham Palace). It will be manned until 5pm by the Friends of Hyde Park community group and then from 5pm-8pm by horticultural staff from the Nursery.
- Stunning Photography - a gallery of photography is on display taken across the eight parks which are scattered around the comfortable seating area. We invite you to come and see the photographs, relax with us and if you’re a tennis fan, watch Wimbledon on the big screens nearby!
- Kids Activities- bring the children down from 2pm-6pm everyday for fun craft and learning activities with the Royal Parks’ Learning Team.
Alun Mainwaring, Head of Events and Filming at The Royal Parks, said: “The midweek activity has become extremely popular and it’s a great way of getting the local community involved with this event. Our Royal Parks ‘Showcase’ space will be returning to give people a taster of what our charity is and the work we do with nature workshops for schools, plant sales and a parks photography exhibition planned during the week. We look forward to welcoming people to come and join in with the summer activities.”
