To the screaming crowds of Beliebers, the Canadian superstar began with "Mark My Words" followed by a slick dance routine to "Where Are Ü Now", taken from the international number one album Purpose. Justin then treated his fans to one of his earlier and most-loved hits "Boyfriend". As fireworks exploded into the summer sky, Justin and his troupe of dancers burst into a rapid choreographed routine to Purpose hit "I'll Show You".
With the sun beginning to set over Hyde Park, he told the crowds "Let's slow it down a bit" and the whole park joined Justin for an acoustic rendition of "Love Yourself".
Justin asked his fans "Guys, can you keep me company?” before effortlessly launching into dance smash hit "Company". The set soon returned to an electrifying pace, as a group of young competition winners joined Justin for a dance routine of "Children". He fist bumped the talented troupe and cheered "Give it up for Misha, Gabrielle, Lewis and Esme!"
The mind-blowing set included other hits "Let Me Love You", "Life Is Worth Living" and Justin's breakthrough hit "Baby". The star praised the crowds of London before bringing his set to a close. The first triumphant weekend at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park ended with his biggest anthem "Sorry" and a final flourish of fireworks.
Before the headlining show, fellow teen superstar turned global sensation Martin Garrix took to the stage to blast out his signature anthemic tracks and contagious baselines. Garrix drove the crowds wilds with EDM hits such as “Animals” and was joined by songstress Dua Lipa on stage for hit “Scared To Be Lonely".
Swedish songstress Tove Lo reaffirmed her place as one of the hottest acts of the summer. Her winning combination of contemporary EDM sound and frank, witty lyrics set the park alight, as the audience danced along to “True Disaster”, “Cool Girl” and “Habits (Stay High)”.
Earlier on, the UK's hottest new pop princess Anne-Marie played hits "Alarm", "Rockabye" and “Ciao Adios”. Producer Naughty Boy worked his magic in front of thousands of fans, including “Should’ve Been Me” and “La La La”, alongside his collaborators Kyla and J Spades.
Elsewhere in the park, on the Barclaycard Stage, an impressive line up gave the crowds a true taste of summer; R’n’B newcomer Mabel, Scottish singer/songwriter Nina Nesbitt and Justin Bieber’s Australian support act Sheppard warmed up the crowds.
The biggest pop line up of the year attracted a huge host of stars; Victoria, Brooklyn and Cruz Beckham, Kevin Spacey, Daisy Lowe, Zoe Ball, Conor Maynard, Ben Foden, Caitlin Moran, Lottie Moss, Dionne Bromfield, Tess Daly, Vernon Kay, Laura Whitmore, Claudia Winkleman, Clara Paget, Tallia Storm, Mollie King, Una Healy, Alice Dellal, Louise Redknapp, Lady Mary Charteris, Joe Wicks and Jessica Woodley.
