Joe Wicks The Body Coach to attempt to break the world record at Open House!
Joe Wicks The Body Coach is calling on thousands of his fans to help him set a new Guinness World Records title for the largest ever high-intensity interval training class.
The HIIT session will take place from 6pm on Wednesday 5th July as part of the weekday OPEN HOUSE schedule of events at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park.
Tickets for the event are on sale now and can be purchased here.
Proceeds from the sale of tickets will go to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
In the last 12 months, Joe’s Lean in 15 trilogy has taught millions of people how to eat more, exercise less and burn more fat, with his trademark Lean in 15 meals. The books have seen Joe named as the best-selling non-fiction author of 2016 and author of the UK’s second best-selling cookbook of all time.
Now Joe wants to take that to the next level by getting people moving in one spot in the largest HIIT session in Guinness World Records history, with thousands of fans lining up in front of the Great Oak Stage at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park.
The current record for the largest ever high-intensity interval training class stands at 3,687 people. Attendees at Joe’s HIIT will be provided with branded waterbottles to help them with the challenge as Joe leads the session from the Great Oak Stage.
Ahead of the release of tickets for the attempt, Joe Wicks said: “My mission in life is to get as many people as possible inspired and motivated to become fitter and leaner - so getting people together at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park to try and smash the world record for the largest ever HIIT session is a perfect opportunity to do that. I can’t wait to stand on the Great Oak Stage and look out on thousands of people all working hard to get fit and lean and, hopefully, we can all break a world record at the same time – the atmosphere is going to be absolutely buzzing!”
