The Wytches, Spring King, The Magic Gang, Shame and Dream Wife!

Goldenvoice is thrilled to announce Pop Up In The Park, a musical showcase taking place slap bang in the middle of Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park on Thursday 7th July

The event is being promoted by Goldenvoice, who look after some of the world’s most exciting acts, including FKA Twigs, Alt-J and Florence + the Machine. Pop Up In The Park will be an evening of high-octane guitar driven punk-rock, with some of the UK’s hottest up and coming alternative acts taking to the Summer Stage throughout the night.

Surf-psych band The Wytches are the first act confirmed for the midweek show. Hailing from the sunny shores of Brighton, the trio’s raucous and unruly sound with it’s overdriven guitar bends and luminous lyricism has led them to headline shows all across Europe, and lead the support spots for Blood Red Shoes, Drenge and METZ among others.

The post-punk four-piece Spring King will also join the line up for the pop up performance. Last year, the practically unknown band was catapulted to fame when their home-recorded track “City” became the first ever song broadcast on Apple’s Beats 1 radio station. This summer, with their trashy, rough and ready sound unaffected by the worldwide hype, they will make their debut in Hyde Park.

The Magic Gang has only been together a mere three years, but already the band has harvested a huge roster of tracks, spanning genres from “rumbling geek-rock” (NME) to R&B inspired funk. On 7th July the boys will give fans a treat, and showcase a sample of their library to audiences at the Summer Stage for the Goldenvoice Pop Up.

Described by the Guardian as a “filthy mess of The Doors, Sleaford Mods and Pixies”, Brixton’s quintet Shame mixes punk and ska to create a fearless and in your face sound. Known for their off the wall appearances at the Old Blue Last and Shacklewell Arms, Shame are ready to bring their energy to BST.

London-based girl band Dream Wife also invite you to jump into the mosh pit with them this summer in Hyde Park. Known for their roaring live shows and endless energy, the trio celebrates girl power through their edgy pop and screamy dreamy vocals.

Tickets for the show cost £10 plus booking fees and are on sale now!
