Bam! Boxing & Mindfulness
BAM! is a fusion of non-contact boxing and mindfulness, creating a powerful combination of energy release and calm. It utilizes physical exercise and simple yet powerful mindfulness practices employed by top athletes to enhance mental health.
A BAM! session involves:
- Guided mindfulness practices to bring calm
- Warm up the body
- Non contact boxing training to release energy

- Mindfulness practiced to create mental clarity

Strap on your safety goggles boys and girls: WE’RE BACK! Due to popular demand Science's greatest and most volatile live show is returning with a vengeance. More mischievous than ever before Brainiac Remixed! explodes on stage and will take you on a breathless ride through the wild world of the weird and wonderful.
BRAINIAC DETECTIVE ACADEMY (WORKSHOP)
Join the Brainiacs, immerse yourself in the Detective Academy and become a Trainee Brainiac Detective! This immersive activity led by the Brainiacs provides your young detectives with an opportunity to use real forensic techniques to discover clues and help solve a mystery.
Learn about the different types of fingerprints and how to extract them from crime scenes. The Trainee Detectives will also try to analyse the ink used to write the ransom note and a footprint found at the crime scene to find who committed the crime.
Come help us solve this mystery and become an official member of the Brainiac Academy!
Captain Fantastic
Captain Fantastic's stage-based group wellbeing sessions introduce mindfulness and wellbeing in a really fun and interactive way. Each person that performs the session has their own unique way of doing it so some parts may vary.
They start with an introduction to what mindfulness is, there is then a short fun guided meditation. They perform a few magic tricks that relate to topics such as managing emotions. They do 'confidence karaoke' where they discuss what confidence is and how we can get it. In between each section, they will have a small discussion about each topic. The session ends with practising kindness and the importance of this.
Chickenshed Theatre
Rainbow Stage:
Chickenshed’s “Tales from the Shed” will be returning for a magical, empowering and fully immersive performance at Open House! Each carefully crafted Tales from the Shed show is packed with educational songs, movement, and language games, designed to support brain development and early learning in young children. We celebrate diversity and inclusion in everything we do, creating a space where all children - no matter their background or ability- can take part and feel the magic of theatre!
Dance Workshop:
Join us for an exciting, interactive dance workshop where you’ll have the chance to learn all of the beloved routines from the experts behind Tales from the Shed! You’ll be grooving alongside our talented team, and you might even get to dance with some of our favourite characters, including the lively Grooving Moving Lion, the playful Brussel Sprout named “Harvey,” and the mischievous “Funky Monkey.” It’s a fun-filled, energetic experience that brings the magic of Tales from the Shed to life!

Come and enjoy a diverse selection of interactive films, alongside their partners, celebrating the power of play and the importance of every story. Come & Sing with London Youth Choirs!
At Come & Sing with London Youth Choirs! Open House, children will learn some excellent songs and explore vocal techniques led by LYC's singing experts in really fun and friendly workshops. All levels of experience can take part, including complete beginners and there may be some handy tips for teachers too. LYC hopes to ignite a lifelong love of music!

London Youth Choirs (LYC) transforms young lives through singing. Through our ten choirs and free programmes in schools, we help thousands of young Londoners each year access the joys and benefits of singing, working with more than 500 members aged 7-23 from all over London. Our ‘LYC Experience’ programme partners with schools for free singing sessions for those missing out on music. LYC performs regularly in prestigious London venues. Join The Royal Parks’ Learning team to get your group up close and personal with some of Hyde Park’s woodland invertebrates and fascinating pond life. They’ll also think about what it takes to look after these essential green spaces by designing the park of their dreams.
Drum Works
About Drum Works
Drum Works uses drumming as a tool to inspire creativity, build social cohesion and empower young people to direct their own futures. Around 600 people take part every week through six partner schools, a community programme and two progression ensembles.
Drum Works Workshops
Workshops will include some background about the Brazilian samba drums we play, basic drumming techniques, rhythmic work and ensemble playing. Participants will learn different drumming patterns and by the end of the session will be able to perform what they have learned.
JDC Darts
The Junior Darts Corporation will be showcasing the sport of darts for the younger generation with a mathematical twist. Children will interact with the Junior Darts educational team to provide a session with a fun introduction to maths through the sport of darts. The JDC team have been delivering sessions to schools for many years and are delighted to interact with school children at BST Hyde Park Open House 2025.
Lord's Community Cricket
Lord's Community Cricket coaches will be delivering cricket sessions for all ages and abilities. Our sessions are led by ECB qualified coaches who work on batting, bowling, and fielding in a creative way which allows children of all ages and abilities to enjoy the game of cricket. We focus on maximum engagement allowing every child equal opportunity to practice and develop their skills.
Park Sports
Join Park Sports at Open House for FREE Tennis Taster Sessions on the 1st, and 10th July!
Fun and dynamic sessions are perfect for helping kids learn the basics of tennis, enhance their coordination, and make new friends. Designed to cater for all abilities, Park Sports coaches will guide your child through a 45-minute, games-based session, boosting their confidence and skills. All equipment is provided.
Storycycle Roadshow
Storycycle is a live interactive roadshow that brings books to life and invites audiences to exercise their imaginations alongside amazing authors and illustrators. Let's storycycle with Laura Ellen Anderson!
Trapped in Zone One
Trapped in Zone One will host schools’ creative workshops at BST Open House, creating a mural on paper rolls, inspired by Summer at Hyde Park using acrylic paint and pens.
Trapped in Zone One is a London-based community-focused creative organisation, with a passion for the arts and culture. Their aim is to engage with young people and the wider community, building relationships to improve the health and wellbeing of diverse communities through creative practices, working alongside young people in schools, hosting workshops, curating public murals, via a diverse range of partnerships with local and national organisations.
