General Safety and Welfare
Customer Service Information Hubs
There are Customer Service Information Hubs located around the event site, which will provide event advice and up to date running schedules for the various stages and venues. Please go to these points if you need any help on the day – our experienced team will do their best to help you.
Welfare and First Aid Provision
Welfare and First Aid provision is at the North of the event and operated by our trained and experienced staff. Both services are open during event hours and all visits are logged and recorded.
Crime Prevention
Searches will be carried out at the entrances to the event at the discretion of the event team, and the team reserves the right to confiscate items which may cause danger or disruption to the event with no refunds. Illegal and anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and will lead to ejection. Incidents of crime and disorder will be reported to the police. Please note Restricted Items in General Info
Please try to bring minimal valuables to the event and take special care with phones and purses or wallets: it’s easy to get careless when you are having a good time! There are free apps you can download in advance to track your phone/tablet if it goes missing or gets stolen; your device is tracked by GPS and can be located online and in some cases be locked remotely. If the device is stolen you should pass this information to the Police.
Stewards and Secruity
Our teams of stewards and trained, licensed security are provided for your safety and comfort. They are clearly identifiable in uniforms and are positioned throughout the event site and surrounding areas of Hyde Park. Please don’t hesitate to ask them for help or assistance at any time throughout the event. You should follow steward and security instructions at all times, and particularly at the end of the event when we are focussed on helping the large audience get home safely as quickly as possible. A CCTV system is in operation across the whole event site for everyone’s safety and wellbeing.
Please see our full list of Terms and Conditions of entry
Ask For Angela
The ‘Ask for Angela’ initiative will be in place for the duration of the event. If you feel unsafe, vulnerable or threatened whilst at the event, you can ask a member of the stewarding team, bar staff, traders or event management teams for ‘Angela’. This will let them know discreetly that you require help, and a trained member of staff then be made available to support you.
Safety of Children
Please take responsibility for the children in your group, even if they are teenagers. Event sites can be disorientating and mobile phone power and signal is not guaranteed, so please make arrangements for a meeting point in case your party gets separated.
Markable wristbands to write a carer's contact details are available at all welfare and information points. Lost or found children should be reported to a steward immediately.
Age restrictions are detailed in our general info section.
Official Meeting Point
There will be an external meeting point outside the North entrance. Inside the event site, the Welfare Tent located in the North of the site is the designated official meeting point if you become separated from anyone in your party.
